Salt & Straw Opening at Downtown Disney This Friday

Who else is excited?! The ice cream shop Salt & Straw opens this Friday, October 12, at the Downtown Disney District in the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, California.

Salt & Straw is a family-run ice cream company from Tyler and Kim Malek. It is known for having imaginative ice cream flavors, and every flavor is handmade in small batches using the best local, organic, and sustainable ingredients. There will also be special seasonal offerings that are cultivated courtesy of partnerships with local farmers and artisans. The menu will gather favorite flavors from all the shops, such as Sea Salt with Caramel Ribbons, Double Fold Vanilla and Chocolate Gooey Brownie. In addition, there will be seasonal flavors for Halloween. “We’ve pulled our top hits from all the cities and we’re putting them together,” says founder and CEO Kim Malek

The look of the shop has a design that takes a bit of a nostalgic and twists it to fit with Disney’s Americana aesthetic.

The new ice cream shop is just one piece of the ongoing transformation of Downtown Disney.
