As you likely have heard, the Shanghai Disney Resort opened in Shanghai, China on June 16. The wonderful Elisabeth Lackey, who answered many questions on the Disney Moms Panel, was kind enough to give us an update on her trip to Shanghai. A lengthier report will come once she returns to the States, but here are some photos she sent from opening day. She also added that crowds, while heavy, were more manageable than she expected and they got to experience more attractions than they expected.
Look for her full post in the next week or two, but first allow us to whet your appetite:
In addition to blogging, I also do some analyzin' here at Touring Plans. I am a travel nut, planning nut, Disney nut, wall nut. Husband of 1, father of 2. Hilariously funny in my own mind.

thanks for the share! this is so exciting for disney, and hopefully it will lower the international attendance at CA and DL and allow for fewer crowds at the original!
Your photo with the caption of not everything was show ready, just shows a GoPro camera, that was likely only there for the first day to recording video about opening day, its not part of the “show”. Yes it doesn’t look great but for a one day thing its OK.

Wow, the cast member costumes are pretty unimaginative. They look like Chili’s uniforms.
