Staying on site at Universal Orlando? Don’t forget your hotel key card! Find out all the benefits and uses for your hotel key card in this Universal Translator.

Room Key before being converted into a guitar pick.

Printed on a heavy plastic card stock and the size of a credit card, these hotel keys are graced with the logo of a Universal Orlando character or attraction, your hotel, your name, your length of stay, and, if applicable, a note that you have Universal Express Unlimited. Your hotel key card gets you into more than just your hotel and room; you can also charge for purchases at your hotel and around the resort (if you approve of it during check-in), showing it grants you access to Early Park Admission at select theme parks, and for select guests, it’s your Express Pass Unlimited if included with your hotel. Several types of visuals are available; normally, they’re provided randomly, but some nice Team Members might allow you to pick.

Here’s the list:

  • Shrek, Donkey, and Puss in Boots from DreamWorks Land
  • Kung Fu Panda from DreamWorks Land
  • Blue the Velociraptor from VelociCoaster
  • Hiccup and Toothless from How to Train Your Dragon: Isle of Berk
