Violet Sake Locator During Garden House Construction

Garden House in the Japan Pavilion of EPCOT, famous for the Violet Sake, is closed for refurbishment. Fear not! There are several other locations to get this favorite cocktail and we’ve done the research for you.

The Violet Sake is arguably one of the most popular cocktails in all of EPCOT. The color is a bright, well, violet, and the flavor is akin to an adult Jolly Rancher. When it was open, it was not uncommon to see a steady line at Garden House until last call. Many of the folks in line walked away with this tasty cocktail. If you’re headed to EPCOT soon, we’ve mapped out where you can get your Violet Sake fix – frozen, canned, pre-mixed, with and without tip!

Kabuki Cafe

Kabuki Cafe on the main World Showcase walkway just before you reach the American Adventure Pavilion has a frozen version of this drink. They have added the Violet Sake Slushie, pictured below, to the permanent menu for $14.00. The weather in Central Florida is reason enough to justify this purchase for anyone 21 and up.

Katsura Grill

Katsura Grill, home of a pretty nice Chicken Cutlet Curry, has the usual pre-mixed version of the Violet Sake for $12.50. They open at 11:30 am and have indoor and outdoor seating and a small restroom near the water. TouringPlans Subscribers, Liners, rate Katsura Grill 90%, Average, with a ranking of 57 out of 113 quick service locations.

Mitsukoshi Department Store Sake Bar

Mitsukoshi Department Store Sake Bar is temporarily serving a few drink options while the Garden House undergoes refurb. The Sake Bar is located at the end of the food hall section, just before the exit where the Kidcot tables are located. They have a Special Cocktail Flight for $30 that includes a Tokyo Sunset, Violet Sake, and a Seasonal Cocktail. The standard Violet Sake alone is $12.50.

Mitsukoshi Sake Bar

You might feel like you’re seeing double Mitsukoshis on this list, but this one is the Mitsukoshi Sake Bar on the 2nd floor near Teppan Edo. This location only has canned Violet Sake, and it will cost you $16.00 plus tip. The only difference in this cocktail is that it’s canned rather than pre-mixed and it comes with a slice of lemon along with the higher price.

The priciest of the bunch.

We will continue this vital research as long as Garden House is out of commission. We will check the cocktails frequently to make sure the quality remains the same during this upheaval. Even if we have to go once a week.
