1900 Park Fare Reopens April 10 at Disney World

Fans of 1900 Park Fare rejoice! Disney has announced that the restaurant will be reopening on April 10, 2024. For the first time since the 2020 closure of the parks and resorts, fans will be able to enjoy the strawberry soup and the restaurant’s carousel-themed atmosphere. Reservations open on March 5, and if you’re using the Disney Dining Plan you’ll want to know that breakfast and dinner are both 1 credit.

Some changes are afoot though; it won’t be just as we left it. Disney has announced changes to the food, the characters, and the artwork.

New Characters at 1900 Park Fare

Villains are out, Princesses are in. You’ll still be able to see Cinderella at this character meal, but instead of the Prince, Stepmother, and Stepsisters she’ll be joined by a new crew of leading men and ladies. Look forward to Aladdin in his Prince Ali look, Mirabel, and Tiana. Tiana will be sporting a brand-new Tiana’s Bayou Adventure look. The same characters will meet at both breakfast and dinner to “celebrate the power of a wish”.

New Food at 1900 Park Fare

The meal will still be a buffet, and we’re told the strawberry soup will still be on it. However, the rest of the menu will receive a makeover. No news on exactly what that means or whether the cuisine will be changing, only that the dishes will “pay tribute to some of the characters and stories you’ll encounter throughout the restaurant.”

New Artwork at 1900 Park Fare

The carousel theming will remain throughout the venue, and Disney shared artwork of a new mural that will grace the restaurant entrance.

You’ll also find drawings of carousel animals based on classic Disney films, and twelve new Disney character portraits. And don’t forget to look for Big Bertha, an antique organ that will be on display as the centerpiece of the main dining room.

  • Sorry, I didn’t mean to post twice. I posted once, but had a bit of trouble and it didn’t seem to show up. I kept watching, but nope, so I tried again – and now I got both!!

At least Aladdin will be in his fancy prince get-up.

  • Happy it’s reopening, but can someone make sense of the choice of characters for me? There seems to be no rhyme or reason to these four. Maybe I’m just missing something. And while I’m at it, is there any other character meal or meet up at Disney World that has such a random mish mash?

    • “There seems to be no rhyme or reason to these four” – it’s actually five, but there’s still no rhyme or reason as far as we can see.

ETA: Note – it is actually four as you say. I can’t count. Apologies!

      • Who is the fifth?

Cinderella, Aladdin, Mirabel, and Tiana are all I find mentioned in various articles.

      • I can’t count, you and DCJP are correct. I think I parsed “Aladdin in his Prince Ali look” as two. And I corrected them on this too! Ouch. All I can do is offer my sincere apologies.

      • Who is the fifth one? I could only find mention of four on sites I looked at.

        Cinderella, Aladdin, Mirabel, Tiana

      • There are only four.
