Tuesday, Feb 15: Operational Problems at the Magic Kingdom

Our Lines users in the Magic Kingdom are reporting major issues with virtually every attraction in the park.  Rumor is that it’s related to the air compressors which power many aspects of most rides.  There’s no ETA for a fix on this, and FASTPASSes are going fast at every attraction.  If you’ve not yet headed out for the parks, avoid the Magic Kingdom.

  • I was also there that morning. I did not see most rides come back online until 11-11:30. This was supposed to be the lowest crowd day of our vacation and we were at MK for the rope drop with hopes of following the one day MK touring plan for adults. Sadly, this was all ruined by over half the park being down. This also happened to us on Friday, Feb 18th at the Studios. Toy Story, Tower of Terror and Aerosmith were all closed at rope drop and didn’t open up for 90-120 minutes. Overall, not what I expected from Disney and my family and I were highly disappointed.

  • Wow, what a bummer for the “Rope Drop” commandos!

  • I was there for this. It was a real shocker. They were not giving out FPs for Space Mt, but all the rest had them. Cast members said it was bc MK had a power outage the night before. Within 90 mins of park opening, everything was back up and running.
