It’s the middle of August, which means summer is slowly starting to wind down! If you are planning one last hurrah in the Universal Orlando parks, here’s what to expect.

Weekly Crowd Level

Oh so slowly, the kids are going back to school and summer is fading, as will the crowds by the end of the week.

Weekly Weather Report

Summer weather still changes rapidly and often, so check out the latest forecast here before your visit.

Weekly Park Hours and Admission

On Thursday and Friday, Universal Studios will close one hour earlier than Islands of Adventure – if you have park-to-park tickets, plan accordingly and take advantage of all the park time that you can!

Saturday will be the only day this week to catch Universal’s Superstar Parade at 7:00 pm, and Universal’s Cinematic Spectacular – 100 Years of Movie Memories at 9:00 pm.

CityWalk is still open until 2:00 am daily, and self parking is free after 6:00 pm.

Single-day park tickets will be at Value pricing all week. One-day base tickets to Universal Studios or Islands of Adventure will run you $110 per adult, and $105 per child (plus tax). 2-Park 1-Day tickets are $165 per adult and $160 per child (plus tax). A one-day ticket for Volcano Bay will be $67 per adult and $62 per child (plus tax).

Notable Highlights

There are no planned closures or refurbishments scheduled for this week.

August 14 is the beginning of Passholder Appreciation days. Passholders can enjoy a variety of benefits, including discounts on special events and dining, exclusive after-hours events, and a special ice cream flavor (sweet cream, brownies, and caramel? Yes please!) at Cold Stone Creamery at CityWalk. If you are a Passholder, you can find all the details on the official Passholder homepage.
