This summer “Universal Orlando’s Cinematic Celebration”, an all new nighttime show, debuts at Universal Studios Florida. Scenes from Jurassic World, Fast & Furious, Despicable Me, and the Harry Potter movies will come to life using 120 fountains, mist screens, projection mapping, and fireworks.

A new, permanent viewing area located in the Central Park area will give guests a prime area to see this new nighttime show.

Blue the Raptor from Jurassic World makes her debut at the Raptor Encounter meet and greet to celebrate Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom’s release. In this humble author’s opinion, Raptor Encounter is one of the coolest meet and greets at any theme park in the world. Use a Touring Plan to minimize waits for this and other attractions at Universal Orlando.

Surf’s Up!

Rendering of a two-bedroom suite at Surfside Inn, opening at Universal Orlando in summer 2019.

Universal has opened bookings for its newest resort, Surfside Inn at the Endless Summer Resort, for summer of 2019. Book your room or package with your travel agent or at universalorlando.com. Endless Summer is on the former Wet ‘n Wild location and will offer rooms from standard size up to two-bedroom suites. Given the success of Cabana Bay Beach Resort at Universal, we are really excited to see Endless Summer. As a reminder, the Aventura will open this August at Universal, too.

Upcoming Events

The World Cup returns June 14 – July 15. Find out where you can catch a match around the resort. Offer does not apply to fans of the USA and Italy men’s national teams. (Sorry. Too soon?)
