Animal Kingdom Operating Hours For Pandora

Pandora – World of Avatar has been open for cast member previews this week. Annual Passholders who previously registered will get their own looks beginning later this week. And media will have previews during the week before the grand opening. Expect soft openings (unannounced times when Disney will let the general public in) in the next weeks. Animal Kingdom closes early (3:30 PM) on the 24th for an evening media event. For more on what we know about Disney’s newest themed land, read this article.

Pandora will finally open to the public May 27, 2017, in Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Disney has extended park hours through the summer for the expected crowds. The park will have a morning Extra Magic Hour at 7:00 AM that day for Disney resort guests. It will open to the general public at 8:00. There are also evening Extra Magic Hours from 11Pm to 1AM that day.

Animal Kingdom will open to the general public at 8AM May 27 – July 4th.   We recommend arriving by 7:00 AM to be among the first guests to walk into Pandora. On Sunday the 27th, and Monday and Saturday mornings, Disney resort guests will have had access even early earlier (at 7:00 AM). We recommend avoiding those days if you’re not eligible for Extra Magic Hours.

Morning Extra Magic Hour –  Monday & Saturday Mornings May 27 to September 4. Animal Kingdom will open an hour early to guests of the official Disney World resorts on select mornings.   If you’re not staying at a Disney hotel or you are staying at a Disney World hotel but don’t want to get up that early, avoid the park on these dates so that you don’t arrive and get in line behind people who have already been there for an hour or more.

Morning Extra Magic Hour will be 7AM Mondays and Saturdays through July 1, 8AM Mondays and Saturdays July 5 to September 4.

Evening Extra Magic Hours at 11PM to 1AM from May 27 – July 4: Disney is offering special Extra Magic Hours (Pandora only) every night from May 27 – July 4 for guests of the official Disney World resorts.  This may help draw some of the crowds to the later part of the day and may make it easier to ride one of the Pandora attractions first thing in the morning, as soon as the park opens.
