Be Our Guest Restaurant Opening Date Released

It’s been on our minds for years.  We’ve been patiently (or for some, impatiently) waiting for information surrounding it.  Now, we have our answer.

Disney has revealed that the Be Our Guest Restaurant will officially open for its first dinner seating on Monday, November 19, 2012.

The restaurant, themed after Beast’s Castle, will feature a quick service type lunch, where guests will order food at a terminal, be seated, and then their food will be brought to their table.  Dinner, however, will be a traditional table service meal.  If you are wondering what options the restaurant will serve for lunch and dinner, we recently did a blog post spotlighting the delectable dishes. For those who are on the Disney Dining Plan, lunch will be one quick service dining credit and dinner will be one table service credit.

Reservations are strongly recommended for dinner. Guests will be able to make reservations starting at noon 7:00 am EDT on Monday, August 20, 2012, by calling (407) WDW-DINE. If you would like to make your reservations online, you will be able to do so starting August 22 by visiting http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/reservations/dining/.

UPDATE: On August 17, Disney announced that reservations for Be Our Guest will be accepted by phone starting at 7:00 am EDT on Monday, August 20, 2012. Best of luck to those of you trying to make a reservation at that time!

  • Does touring plans have any estimates on how long the QS waits will be during the first few months of opening? Based on how popular this restaurant is expected to be, I’m concerned it may be a long wait for lunch.

  • Note that as of early this afternoon it appears that Disney has changed the time that reservations open to 7AM instead of noon.

  • Is the QS lunch service opening the same date?

    Is there any comparable restaurant opening from the past that might give insight into whether there will be a soft opening in the week before?

    Our trip is Nov 10-17 and we’re curious if there is any chance of seeing it (or better yet testing the food :-)) on that trip.

    • I’m with you on this question. We leave WDW on Nov. 18. Bummer!
