Room Tour: Universal Kids Resort
We’ve spent a bit of time at Universal Kids Resort in Frisco, Texas, and we’ve written about our visits during the (not hosted) preview here, and opening day here. Today, we’re going to take a tour of our room at the Universal Kids Resort hotel!
Room 581, Signature Queen

We paid $399 plus city and state taxes, plus parking ($20 + tax per day) on the night of July 1, 2026 for a total of $464.
Room 581 is a Signature Queen that sleeps 5.
- 1 Queen bed and twin-over-full bunk bed
- 424 square feet
- Wifi
- 50″ tv
- Bathtub-style shower
- Small refrigerator
- In-room safe
- In-shower Dial shampoo, conditioner, and body wash
There is a small bar of Dove soap and a small bottle of Dove body wash on the vanity counter. The “sleeps 5” assumes that two guests can sleep on the bottom full bed.

The vanity with one sink is inside the shower room. The loo has a separate door and is inside the bathroom.

The storage cabinet is equipped with a luggage rack, an extra pillow and blanket, and hangers.

The round table in the room has seating for four.

The lobby of the hotel is brighter than Troll hair and has lots of fun seating options.

The Curiosity Cafe is just off the lobby and offers grab-and-go options, a bakery case, and several main dish options.

We tried a few dishes at the Cafe:
- Kids Mac & Cheese with Fries, $7.99
- Short Rib Pizza, $12.99

Starbucks beverages are available and so are all of the special drinks offered in each land on the Coke Freestyle machines.

The pool has a towel distribution area and offers life jackets in many sizes ~ all included with your stay. The tables and umbrellas come in handy for breaks and snack time.
A few notes about the hotel. There is a separate door that is supposed to be the hotel guest entrance to the park, but it wasn’t open during our visit. We entered the park through the main entrance like everyone else. The NTTA Toll Tag parking was not available on opening day, but we were told it would be operational soon.
We will be back at Universal Kids in a few months once they have time to work out the bugs. It’s an adorable park and the hotel is nice, and (obviously) clean and comfortable. We’ll report back after our next visit. Thanks for reading!
