The busy Christmas Season hit Universal Orlando Resort as expected last week but wait times around New Year’s Eve dipped lower than years past. The days before and after New Year’s Eve were much busier.

Tuesday’s crowd was the first day where we saw a small dip in wait times – at Islands of Adventure. The Studios continued to be packed to near capacity.

Islands of Adventure, at a level ‘6’ wins the distinction of the lowest crowd level on New Year’s Eve among Orlando parks. Wait times there were equivalent to a regular summer day.

New Year’s Day saw surprisingly moderate crowds at both parks. Revenge of the Mummy and Dragon Challenge both averaged less than 30 minute waits.
