Behind the Seeds: Glimmering Greenhouses is Back for 2025!
The festive Behind the Seeds: Glimmering Greenhouses walking tour of The Land Pavilion in EPCOT is coming back this holiday season. Tickets go on sale October 9th, with three tours nightly at 6, 7, and 8 pm. The tours will run from November 28th through December 30, 2025.
We were lucky enough to snag tickets to this event last year and can offer a full endorsement of this experience. There have been some changes to the tour this year, so let’s look at the details.
This 60-minute walking tour of The Land Pavilion is essentially a slower, closer look at what you’d see riding Living with the Land. If you’ve ever wanted to stop and inspect a particular plant or holiday vignette while floating through the greenhouse, this is for you. The tours are guided by brilliant Land Pavilion Cast Members who spend the hour entertaining and educating participants about how they transform this already beautiful place into a dazzling light display while keeping the plants, fish, and welcome insects safe and thriving.
There is a hard “no touching” rule in place throughout the tour. We all remember The Cucumber Incident, and nobody wants to be internet famous that way. The only exception to this rule is when you’re invited by the Cast Member Guide to participate in short games that are also educational.
You’ll have lots of opportunities to take pictures and video as you go along. You’ll also be given the chance to ask questions of your Guide. This is a great way to sneak in some learning if you’ve got kids with you.
Tickets & Location
Tickets go on sale October 9th and have increased from $45 in 2024 to $50.15 – $59 this year; you can purchase on Disney’s website. Disney has also increased the tours from two a night to three at 6, 7, and 8 pm. The tours begin November 28th with the start of Festival of the Holidays and run through December 30, 2025.
Guests ages 3 and up are welcome to participate. Guests ages 3-17 must be accompanied by a paying adult. This is a walking tour, so make sure you’ve got comfortable shoes and are able to stand and walk for the entire hour.
Check in for your tour at the Behind the Seeds desk in The Land Pavilion near Soarin’ and the exit to Living with the Land on the first floor. Disney advises arriving 15 minutes prior to the start of your tour. There are restrooms a few steps from the desk just beyond the Soarin’ entrance.
The 2024 tour parting gift was this gingerbread cookie recipe card. This was a sweet tie-in to the spices we learned about (and smelled!) during our time in the greenhouse. Even if you don’t plan to bake the cookies, this is a nice addition to any vacation scrapbook.
Are you planning to get reservations to this tour? Did you go last year? Let us know in the comments!
How accessible is the tour? Can you take the tour if you have to use a wheelchair or ECV?
There were two folks on my tour last year that were in wheelchairs. I just checked Disney’s website and it says ECVs must transfer to a wheelchair so that tracks. I hope you are able to get reservations!
Are the tours still given during the daytime?
Yep! The standard Behind the Seeds tours are still running during the day. Good question!
