Castaway Club 75th Milestone
Did you know that Disney Cruise Line sends out gifts to cruisers when they reach big milestones? Like 75 and 100 cruises?
Well, they do! Let me tell you about mine.

About a month after I finished my 75th Disney cruise, I received an email from Disney. The email said the following:
Dear Tammy,
Disney Cruise Line is recognizing Castaway Club Guests who have sailed more than 75 times with a special gift. You have been an amazing part of the Disney Cruise Line journey and we have created something special for Guests like you with 75+ cruises.
As a thank you for sailing with us over the years, we would like to send a gift to your home but need for you to confirm your mailing address. Please respond to this email with your physical mailing address at your earliest convenience.
We plan on sending this item within a few weeks of confirming your mailing address. Like all Castaway Club gifts, this gift is one per household. If there are multiple individuals in your household who have reached this amazing milestone, there will be one gift per level for you all to share.
Thank you so much for sailing with us! We look forward to hearing from you soon.
Sincerely,
Castaway Club
Disney Cruise Line
Perhaps the most interesting part of the email was the postscript:
P.S. If you would like to decline this gift, simply reply letting us know that you are not interested.
So there are people who have declined? What the what?
Anyway, after confirming the email was legit and dancing a little jig, I immediately confirmed my address and began stalking my mailbox – I mean, waiting patiently!
True to their word, the box arrived around 3 weeks later.
The package was from Arribas Brothers, yes, the same Arribas Brothers from the store on Main Street, U.S.A.

Inside was a very well-packaged, beautiful Captain Mickey and Captain Minnie glass figurine.

The base was stamped with the words “Castaway Club” and the Castaway Club logo.

There was a Certificate of Authenticity that read:
Captain Mickey and Captain Minnie Salute You!
With deep gratitude from the Cast and Crew of Disney Cruise Line, this commemorative statue is our gift to you to honor the countless memories you’ve shared with us over the years. It’s a special thank you for being a part of Castaway Club and for sailing with us for over 75 magical voyages.
This certificate guarantees that you have received an authentic work of art from Arribas Brothers, a long-standing partner of The Walt Disney Company.

I really think this was a lovely and unnecessary appreciation gift. I hear the 100th cruise gift may be even cuter! I’m on my way!
Do you have any questions or observations? Let me know in the comments!

Stunning! A true gift.
I wonder if Disney is considering revamping the Castway Program and Benefits. So money of them don’t actually cost Disney any money.
I know other lines include free or reduced wifi rates. Free bag of laundry. A specialty drink a day or similar.
Disney I think still caters to a demographic of folks who likely are new to cruising and have young families. Which is great! The silver and gold tiers are often pretty attainable for many. I guess they know they don’t need to incentivize the repeat cruisers, because they know we will sail regardless of perks – like when they removed the OBC from placeholder reservations!
