Disney’s BoardWalk Club Level – A Real Winner

Disney’s BoardWalk’s marriage of relaxation and fun helped create a wonderful vacation.  The Boardwalk’s Innkeeper’s Club is the best concierge service on Disney World Property, in my opinion.

Ninety nine percent of the reason I say this is the wonderful staff.  I had stayed here Labor Day weekend in 2009 and was anxious to return.  When I checked in last week, Cast Member, Scott, said to me, “You stayed here before.  We’re so glad to have you back.”  You have no idea how much that meant to me.  Never in ALL of my stays at Disney World have I ever been acknowledged as a repeat guest.  (If you read my columns with any regularity – you know I am a repeat guest.)

When I was there in September 2009, I was so impressed with Cast Member, Pete.  He was kind and went out of his way to insure my family had an extra special visit.  I remember thinking, “Disney is really lucky to have Pete.”  His level of customer service and kindness was extraordinary.  The way Pete seemed genuinely interested in my family made us feel special and want to return.  On this trip I was excited to reintroduce myself and see Pete again.  Pete exemplifies Disney Service.

The other 1% of my adulation is the food.  Breakfast includes oatmeal, fresh fruit, yogurt, cereal, bagels, pastries, juices.  The wine and cheese service also includes hot appetizers.  My favorite was the bacon wrapped scallops offered one night.  I could have had dinner there.  I’d have to refill my small plate, but there was enough delicious food to make a meal.

                The Innkeeper’s Club Desk is open 7:00 a.m. – 10:00 p.m. Coffee is available at 6:30 a.m.  Continental Breakfast: 7:00 a.m. – 10:30 a.m., Refreshments: 11:30 a.m.-4:00 p.m., Wine and Cheese: 5:00- 7:00 p.m., Cordials and Desserts: 8:00-10:00 p.m.

If I have any critisism of the Inn Keeper’s Club, unlike the Polynesian where coffee and water are accessible 24 hours a day, they aren’t here.  If there is any way that they could find away to offer water and coffee around the clock, I would be ecstatic.

With the location of the Boardwalk and the outstanding service from the Cast Members at the Innkeeper’s Club, I will stay here again and again.

It’s the little things that make a visit magical.

  • Great post, Caroline, thanks! I have always wanted to stay concierge at one of the resort but, mostly, I hear that it isn’t worth the extra money. It’s great to hear the reasons that you really enjoyed it…gives me some addition ammo for the extra expenditure. 🙂

  • Great article, Caroline. I always enjoy reading your trip reports. I recall repeat visit recognition (lack thereof) being a topic of conversation after a previous concierge level report. Maybe Disney pixies picked up on this.

Have you ever visited the Boardwalk during the holidays? I am wondering if we should schedule a stop there to view decorations this December, and if it is worth it even if we aren’t staying at the Boardwalk.

    • Hi Amy,
Thanks for reading and commenting. I would stop by and see the decorations there. It’s a really pretty resort. Check out the Yacht and Beach Clubs while you’re in the area.
      Thanks again,
      Caroline
