Guests walk through the world of Beauty and the Beast and interact with some familiar characters before playing a part in a surprise retelling of Belle and the Beast’s love story for Belle herself! This attraction isn’t a ride but rather a combination of a walk-through, show, and character meet-and-greet.

This area is located on the path next to the castle near Tomorrowland where Merida from Brave meets with guests today. Storytime with Belle debuted July 1, 1999 and closed September 12, 2010.
Enchanted Tales with Belle, and other Beauty and the Beast offerings, were announced along with the Magic Kingdom’s New Fantasyland expansion which opened in 2012.
What You Need to Know About the Queue

The queue begins just outside of Maurice’s cottage and then leads guest inside for a glimpse of Belle’s childhood home, Easter Eggs from the film, and Maurice’s projects and inventions. The charming queue serves to immerse guests in the world of Beauty and the Beast and succeeds. However, it does tend to move slowly and a significant portion of the queue is located outside.
What You Need to Know About the Experience
The attraction experience begins in Maurice’s workshop where a little Disney magic transforms a mirror into a full-size doorway leading into the Beast’s castle! Guests are then ushered through the portal into the Beast’s castle. Here guests encounter the Wardrobe from the film and a Cast Member who passes out roles and props to willing participants.

Next, guests enter the library and find an incredible audio-animatronic Lumiere! He explains the guests with roles and props will help tell the story of how Belle and Beast fell in love as a surprise for Belle. Belle then enters the library and enjoys the re-telling of her and the Beast’s romance. Guests then are allowed to meet Belle and grab a photo!
This attraction is great for the whole family as there are roles for even little ones if they want to participate. Everyone is sure to be impressed with the special effects and audio-animatronic as well. Although, since guests are being ushered from one room to the next, it can get a little cramped and congested at times.
Those who don’t enjoy performing a role in front of a group may be nervous about the nature of this attraction. Do note that if being the center of attention is not your thing, no one has to participate and is free to simply watch. Enchanted Tales with Belle is definitely geared more towards little ones and fans of Beauty and the Beast. Some adults and older kids may be bored by the experience.
