Today, Disney World announced that the Beak & Barrel in Adventureland will open in just a few weeks on August 29, 2025. Reservations for the Beak & Barrel open August 14, and unlike some other locations, this venue welcomes all ages. Let’s take a quick recap of everything we already knew about this newest Magic Kingdom watering hole, plus a spin through the menu lineup released today.

For those attending Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party or Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, the Beak & Barrel will be open during these events. No word yet on whether there will be any party-specific menu items.

Beak & Barrel Atmosphere

Captain Meridian “Merry” Goldwyn is joined by her parrot first mate Rummy as the proprietor of the Beak & Barrel. (Long-time visitors to Disney World will see that Rummy strongly resembles the Barker Bird that used to be at the entrance to Pirates of the Caribbean.)

The main room (“The Mess”) of the Beak & Barrel is a large central space with plenty of seating at long tables, and the bar to one side. You can look for Rummy to keep an eye on the goings-on from his roost atop the bar, or you may also sight an Enchanted Rum Bottle.

A separate room holds the “Captains’ Quarters”, meant to be the former rooms of the Spanish Comandante. Here you’ll find the walls decorated with fine art and drapery appropriate to his station, albeit somewhat the worse for wear after the pirates have been at it.
