Should I Go to Volcano Bay Nights?

Volcano Bay Nights is a great way to experience the park during a cooler time of day with shorter waits for the Krakatau Water Coaster. The complementary food is a good touch, but is only available in sample portions. The DJ and characters are a huge hit with families and the lazy river was especially quiet. If you want to try out Volcano Bay but not spend a whole park day there then consider Volcano Bay Nights.

TouringPlans Touring Tips

With low crowds and cool temperatures, we find VB Nights to be an easy tour of the park. We suggest arriving at 4:00 pm to take advantage of any attractions not open during the event and knock out any slides with low waits. Then once the party starts, experience the Krakatau Water Coaster when lines are short and enjoy the lazy river through the volcano!

Can’t wait to hear if/when they’re doing these this year! And if the details will be the same or changed (particularly the attraction lineup.) Strangely enough I had already planned to go to Volcano Bay on a Friday during my vacation in September. So, I’m hoping to be able to shift this to afternoon (for whatever rides aren’t open for the night event) and night.

Speaking of which, for the rest of the fall versions of this event, did they limit it to the attractions you listed here? I’ve seen videos from people who went who said that everything was open. Thanks!

    • Was everything open for the event, or were only limited slides open? I’ve seen conflicting information. Thanks!
