New Menu at Harambe Market

The closure of Restaurantosaurus earlier this month left a crater sized gap not only in our hearts, but in the availability of standard theme park food in Animal Kingdom. Harambe Market, in Africa, has a new menu that includes some basic favorites.

Harambe Market is located a few yards from the entrance to Rafiki’s Planet Watch and Gorilla Falls Exploration Trail. The back side of the seating area at Harambe Market offers a great view of the passing Wildlife Express Train transporting folks to and from Conservation Station. The train is closed starting today to allow work on the new Bluey adventure, coming this summer to Conservation Station. We expect this quick service dining location to become very popular once Bluey and Bingo are ready to receive guests.

Harambe Market is open from 10:30am – 4:00pm daily and mobile order is available. The new menu includes:

1/3 lb Angus Bacon Cheeseburger with Lettuce and Tomato, served with Fries $13.99

Nothing interesting here to report. This is the same type of bacon cheeseburger and fries you’ll get at most quick service locations around the parks.

Kid’s Chicken Strips with Fries, a Cuties Mandarin, and Apple Juice $8.99

Sometimes you don’t want to spend $20 for a meh burger, fries, and a drink. We order off the kids menu more often than not when we’re working in the parks. The serving sizes are good, they come with a drink, and our entire meal is $10.00. These chicken strips are also the same variety that you’ll find in the other three parks. We may rave about the beet tartare in EPCOT, but we sure do love a standard chicken strip.

Harissa Chicken Wrap- Chilled Tandoori Rotisserie Chicken with Harissa Mayonnaise wrapped in a Flour Tortilla and served with French Fries $10.99

Harissa Chicken Wrap and Fries

This is not your average Disney quick service bite. If you typically enjoy these flavor profiles, the Tandoori chicken and Harissa Mayo will make for a happy meal. The fries are just fries, but we love the wrap. It’s like the small bites served on the Wild Africa Trek without the views or the high price tag. Overall, this is our pick for the new Harambe menu.

This location also serves a few alcoholic beverages including the Harambe Sunrise, a sweet, pre-mixed tequila drink for $14.50. Adults on the Disney Dining Plan can include this as the beverage with the meal for just one Quick Service credit.
