Satu’li Canteen Breakfast is Still Exceptional!
It’s been a while since we’ve reviewed breakfast at Satu’li Canteen in Disney’s Animal Kingdom, so we stopped in a few weeks ago.

TouringPlans Subscribers, Liners, submit thousands of trip surveys each year. A big part of the survey focuses on dining ratings and we turn that data into information anyone can access on our website or the TouringPlans Lines app. You’ll be able to find rank and ratings for every bar, quick service, table service, and snack location in Walt Disney World.
Liners rate Satu’li Canteen 98%, Exceptional, with a rank of #4 out of 110 quick service locations in Walt Disney World! We absolutely agree with this rating for a few reasons. First, obviously, the food is excellent and far better than any other quick service breakfast in any of the parks.
The Food

Frittata and Beef, $14.29
Vegetable-Goat Cheese Frittata with Wood-fired Beef tossed in Chimichurri
The beef is thin and tender and the chimichurri is tangy and tasty. We wish they would sell the vegetable-goat cheese frittata as a side, because it’s just so light and wonderful. The pillow of goat cheese would likely taste great on anything. A sprinkle of lettuce gives the remaining sauce somewhere to go. We loved this dish before and we still order it on our own dime.

Slow-roasted Pork Shoulder Potato Hash, $13.29
With Chorizo Sausage and Charred Onion Sauce
Tangy, strong flavors and a large enough portion for two to share! The onion sauce is 10/10 and makes every savory bite extra special. No hyperbole here ~ this is truly a well done plate for an excellent (in Disney World) price. This is the dish we order when we rope drop Flight of Passage with folks who are new to Disney World. First we wow them with FoP, take a voyage down the Na’vi, and then seal the joy with this. It works every single time.

Cinnamon French Toast, $12.99
With Blueberry Cream Cheese, Passion Fruit Anglaise, and Sausage
This is the candle scent we really want. This is two humongous slabs of cinnamon bread fried until both sides are coated with a sweet crust and a sprinkling of powered sugar. The inside remains soft and glorious and the whole thing sits in a pond of passion fruit anglaise!! The blueberry cream cheese is unreasonably light and silky and gives the slightest twang that makes the sweet stuff not too sweet. Oh, yeah. And there’s sausage.

The sausage links, pictured above, are the savory “icing” on this cinnamon cake. We. Love. It.
Not pictured but still interesting is the Specialty Ube Cold Brew for $6.29. This is a Joffrey’s Cold Brew Coffee with Ube Sweet Cream, Butterfly Pea Tea Whipped Topping, and Hibiscus Powder. If this was done with a Cafe Bustelo cold brew instead of Joffrey’s, we would be singing the praises of the well-paired ube and hibiscus powder. They’re excellent. For now, save your money for more french toast.
Beyond the excellent dishes on offer for breakfast is the fact that this location has lots of indoor and outdoor seating. It’s nice not having to scramble for a bench or trash can lid to perch on like so many other quick service breakfast places in the parks.
Hours: 8:00am – 6:00pm, or regular opening until close. Satu’li is not open during Early Entry.
