The Swan & Dolphin App
Did you know that the Swan, Dolphin, and Swan Reserve have their own app independent of the Marriott Bonvoy app? They do, and there are some pretty nifty features on the app, too.
The Swan, Dolphin, and Swan Reserve are Good Neighbor Hotels, which means they share many of the same perks that Disney Resorts offer, but there are some big differences. You can read up on those details here.
While you’re still going to need the My Disney Experience app and the Marriott Bonvoy app if you’re planning to stay at any of these 3 hotels during your Disney World vacation, you may want to consider downloading the Swan & Dolphin app as well. Side note- we know 3 apps, plus, hopefully, the Lines app, is WILD just to get the most out of your vacation but here we are. Below are a few reasons the app might be helpful.

Food- You’ll need the Swan and Dolphin app if you’re planning to mobile order at any of their Grab & Go spots. You won’t be able to use the Marriott app or MDE. Prices, hours, and full menus are listed on the app which might make budgeting a bit easier.

Room Service can also be ordered via the Swan and Dolphin app, just make sure you’ve selected the right resort. The app also has a prompt when you’re done with your meal and want your tray collected. The hours of service are pretty impressive, too. 6:00am – 12:55am on Friday and Saturday!
Getting Around

You’ll find walking maps in the Swan & Dolphin app under Resort Maps. The close proximity to the BoardWalk, EPCOT, and Hollywood Studios makes this trio of hotels attractive. If you’re a family of rope drop experts, you’ll understand why walking to two of the four parks is important when you see the bus info below.

The bus schedules to the Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom are enough to make us pause when folks ask if they should stay at one of these three resorts. Buses begin 45 minutes prior to park opening even though all three qualify for Early Entry. Additionally, the bus doesn’t drop directly at the Magic Kingdom like other Disney buses do. The Swan and Dolphin bus drops at the Ticket and Transportation Center where you’ll have to take a monorail or ferry to the Magic Kingdom. This makes a true rope drop more difficult.
While the image below doesn’t include a total list of functionality for each app, it is a general guideline of why you’d need each one. You’ll still use the My Disney Experience app for nearly everything you use it for now – tickets, mobile order at the parks, water parks, and Disney Springs, dining reservations, Enchanting Extras, PhotoPass, etc.

How many apps are too many for you on vacation? Have you stayed at the Swan, Dolphin, or Swan Reserve recently? What did you think? We’d love to hear your review!
