Universal Kids Resort: Construction Update

Universal Kids Resort in Frisco, Texas, is taking shape! Scheduled to open this year, we tooled around the area to get some shots from the ground.

The shot above was taken at the end of January, 2026. The resort hotel is billed on the Universal website as home to 300 rooms. As you can see from the image above, it is the centerpiece of the space. Or at least it is so far.

The Universal Kids Resort is planned to have 7 lands with interactive play areas, splash zones, meet and greets, shows, food and beverage, all centered around the kid-friendly characters. Click here to get more details on the concept art and info released by Universal last year.

The park is located at 14116 Dallas Parkway, Frisco, TX 75034. The location is nearly equidistant from both Dallas Fort Worth and Love Field airports depending on the time of day and traffic. The drive should be around 35-40 minutes from either airport.

The Kids Resort occupies an entire (very large) “block” just off the parkway. There is a good deal of new construction just across the street from the view above. Based on our travels around the area, there are new dining locations coming soon. We will capture pictures and video of the area as construction moves along.
