Mardi Gras

Break out the beads, Mardi Gras at Universal Orlando returns! This family-friendly event celebrates the colors, music, food, and fun of New Orleans right in Central Orlando. This year the event features new food options, new parade floats, and an impressive concert line up.

New York turns into the Big Easy as the New Orleans Courtyard is set up with food stalls and brand new food options. Starting at 4:00 p.m. every day sample beignets, jambalaya, crawfish, and local brews of New Orleans in new sample sizes.

Party Penguins

Every night a family-friendly parade marches through the park. Unique floats, stilt walkers, dancers, lively music, and lots of beads brings the party to life. This year’s theme is “Party Animals”, with floats covered in animals from the jungle, arctic, swamp, ocean, and sky. Invited guests can board the floats prior to run time to participate in throwing beads. Mardi Gras Parade occurs nightly, visit Universal’s site for show times. Fun fact: the parade floats are made by the same company that provides the authentic floats in New Orleans!

What Mardi Gras celebration would be complete without music? Traditional New Orleans bands perform daily in the French Quarter Courtyard and on select nights mainstream acts rock out on Music Plaza Stage.

Any updates on the pedestrian bridge to Universal over Kirkman Dr? When will it be open?
