Universal Translator – Interactive Wand

Walk into a Universal theme park and you will find hundreds of guests roaming the park with wands from the Harry Potter series. What are these wands? What do they do? Where can I buy one? All this and more in this week’s Universal Translator.

Interactive Wands are collectible items found in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter and select Universal Studios Store locations. These wands are modeled after real wands in the Harry Potter films or new designs made just for the theme park. Interactive wands, different from ornamental non-interactive ones, feature a reflective tip at the end of the wand. Using a provided map and interactive wand markers around the lands, guests walk from installation to installation replicating spells, using the wand to make effects occur. Interactive wands cost $65 plus tax.
