Victoria & Albert’s Wins Coveted Michelin Awards
Congratulations to Walt Disney World’s Victoria & Albert’s restaurant for earning a Michelin Star last night at the Michelin Guide Florida award presentation. V&A’s is the premiere restaurant at Disney World and one of the best restaurants in the state of Florida. The Star was presented to Chef Matthew Sowers.
Michelin Stars are awarded to restaurants offering outstanding cooking, taking into account five criteria: the quality of the ingredients, the harmony of flavors, the mastery of techniques, the personality of the chef as expressed through their cuisine and, consistency across the entire menu and over time.
In addition to the restaurant earning a Star, Israel Perez, longtime Maitre d’Hotel of Victoria & Albert’s restaurant earned the special Service Award from Michelin Guide Florida. Israel and his team have taken care of us many times over the year with the utmost care and professionalism. We couldn’t be happier for his success. The honor is incredibly well deserved!
In his Award profile, Israel stated that is favorite part of the guest experience is when, “We end up making a special connection with someone that we meet for the first time. We are part of this incredible Walt Disney Company, and our favorite moment is when someone describes their experience as “magical.” It humbles us when we are able to make a difference. My second favorite is to be able to weave our story into our menu. Our legacy is never forgotten, and it usually tends to be what moves us forward.” You can read more about this icon of Disney hospitality on the Michelin Guide site.
A dinner at Victoria & Albert’s is a life-changing meal, with a commensurate price. It’s a special place for special occasions. The prix fixe menu starts at $295 per guest, plus beverage pairings, tax, and tip. Trust us, it’s worth every penny.
