Guardians of the Galaxy Attraction at Epcot Will be a Coaster
It was confirmed tonight at the D23 Expo in Japan that the Guardians of the Galaxy attraction that is slated to open at Epcot in the former location of Ellen’s Energy Adventure will, indeed, be a roller coaster.
This will be a coaster for the family, but it will be a one of a kind experience, as it will be one of the world’s longest enclosed roller coasters. The attraction will also feature an innovative new ride system.
According to Disney, The Guardians of the Galaxy-inspired coaster is part of the company’s ongoing work to transform Epcot into a place that’s more family, more relevant, more timeless and more Disney.
The Guardians of the Galaxy attraction will open in time for the 50th anniversary of Walt Disney World Resort in 2021.
If they want to bring “families” to EPCOT, they need to limit the alcohol sales instead of having it available in more places than Mickey ear ice cream bars. My family is about done going there because of the drunks. We love EPCOT and the rides and the countries, but we can’t handle all the drinking. Our trip this past year the kids, and adults, were simply ready to leave the park and not go back.
