Ahoy, mateys! I’m Heather, and I’ll be bringing you the up and coming on all things Disney Cruise Line. Welcome back again this week. Let’s see what’s new in the DCL world.

Ports of Call

Disney Cruise Line: In The News

This fall, Disney Cruise Line will sail to Bermuda for the first time! The list of port adventures was recently added to the site. There’s no shortage of great options! I don’t know about you, but the Bermuda Triangle Evening Cruise is absolutely calling my name! What could go wrong??

“Stars Set Sail” is returning to select cruises on the Magic, Wonder, and Fantasy. Guests will be treated to performances by some of the best who have starred in various Disney shows on Broadway. If you don’t know Jonathan Freeman by name, you certainly know him by his voice as Jafar – and let me tell you, he’s even more chilling on stage! You can see the full list of dates and performers here.

Speaking of entertainment, Disney Cruise Line offers some really amazing shows! Just a few weeks ago, I finally got to see Beauty and the Beast on the Dream, and I was absolutely blown away – this show is incredible!! I can’t wait to see it again….especially to catch the parts I missed, due to the, um, lack of etiquette by some fellow cruisers sitting nearby in the theater. Hey, things happen, but if you can avoid it, please don’t be that guy. Thankfully, Tammy is here to save the day (and the show) with a list of reminders to show you just how easy it is to have good show manners on board!

Here’s this week’s special offers. Most every week of the year, Disney Cruise Line releases special offers for Florida Residents and U.S. Military Personnel.  There are also frequently IGT/OGT/VGT rates available for all guests to book.  These offers are extremely limited in availability, and all come with certain restrictions, but the prices are amazing! You can book these online, on the phone, or with your travel agent. These are the current offers available this week:

Upcoming Entertainment

The following films are being shown aboard the Disney Cruise Line ships this month:

  • Born In China
  • Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2
  • Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales

  • Doctor Strange
  • Thor: Ragnarok
  • Coco
  • Star Wars: The Last Jedi
  • Black Panther
  • A Wrinkle In Time

For future reference, films debut on Disney Cruise Line the same day of their initial release in the United States. Films do vary by ship. Show times are available in your Personal Navigator or the official Disney Cruise Line app.

Who’s in??

Are you deciding whether to book a Disney Cruise but are having a tough time picking which ship fits all of your desires? Well, our own Laurel Stewart has put together a chart that makes it easy to compare all of the options in one place. Also available as a valuable planning and companion guide from authors Len Testa, Erin Foster, and Laurel Stewart is The Unofficial Guide to the Disney Cruise Line.
