The day we’ve been waiting for has arrived. Ok…sort of. While we don’t know the official opening date of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge on either coast just yet, we do know the names of the two attractions that Guests will get to experience.

For those who are looking to pilot the Millennium Falcon, you’ll be able to take the controls in one of three unique and critical roles aboard Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run. Take a sneak peek at what to expect when boarding this attraction.

Then on Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance, guests can join an epic battle between the First Order and the Resistance. Guests may even be able to face-off with Kylo Ren!

As a reminder, we also have the name of the cantina that Guests will get to visit. Oga’s Cantina will be able to enter a smuggler’s safe-haven.

Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge opens at Disneyland in the summer of 2019 and in Walt Disney World in late fall of 2019.

Stay tuned to the blog for more information about Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge!

  • So curious as to how advanced these two attractions will be, and if they will render the Star Wars experience at The Void outdated and obsolete.

    • Not really the same thing. Rise of the Resistance looks to be Disney’s long-awaited take on the Spiderman/Transformers-type ride that Universal pioneered, and Smuggler’s Run is like Star Tours if you’re the pilot. While also Star Wars-themed, the VOID’s VR stuff is a completely different experience.
