Tale of the Lion King Coming This Summer at Disney California Adventure

Are you excited about the live action version of Disney’s The Lion King which hits theaters this summer? Well, if you are and you’ll be visiting Disney California Adventure, I have a brand new show you’re going to want to make sure you don’t miss.

Tale of the Lion King will be a theatrical, outdoor musical production that takes place on the Palisades Stage. The show will present the timeless tale and will include a cast of 18 performers called the Storytellers of the Pride Lands, which will include actors, singers, dancers and drummers. Enjoy the retelling of the story told in a contemporary style, weaving their tale through language, song and dance.

But with such a visual show, it’s hard to envision just what we’ll see. Luckily, Disney has shared a great video that showcases what the Tale of the Lion King will entail.

As you’ll be able to see in the concept art found in the video, this new show will feature fantastical costumes, animal motifs, and gorgeous art.

Tale of the Lion King will take place for a limited time this summer, starting June 7.
