2024 Jollywood Nights Dates and Ticket Info

Last year’s new swanky, suave seasonal event for adults, Jollywood Nights, is back this year! Disney has announced dates, prices, and more for this year’s holiday event, which runs from November 9 to December 21. Read on for more details.

What Is Jollywood Nights?

Jollywood Nights is a “hard-ticket” event that’s held at Hollywood Studios during the Christmas season. On party nights, the park closes a bit early to make way for party entertainment. Jollywood Nights guests can arrive at the park a bit prior to closing using their party ticket for admission. And the party itself features special entertainment, food, and decor. Although Jollywood Nights is presented as more adult-ish than Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, this is a Disney event. Children are welcome and will appreciate the rare characters and entertainment.

2024 Event Dates, Ticket Prices, and Times

Tickets for Jollywood Nights will go on sale July 2 to guests of Disney World resort hotels, Disney World Swan, Dolphin, and Swan Reserve, as well as Shades of Green. Jollywood Nights ticket sales to the general public begin on July 10.

If you’re thinking about a trip to Disney World for Jollywood Nights, having a trip on the books will allow you to take advantage of early purchasing. Jollywood Nights 2024 Dates

The party will be held on a total of 13 dates this year, with the first on November 9 and the last on December 21.

Jollywood Nights 2024 Prices

Date-specific prices are shown below; tap on the image to enlarge if desired. Prices range from $159 to $179, with child tickets (ages 3-9) priced at $10 less. There is also a $10 discount available to Annual Passholders and Disney Vacation Club members on all nights. Event Times

On event nights, Jollywood Nights begins at 7:30 p.m. and lasts until 12:30 a.m. Ticket holders may enter the park on their party ticket as early as 6 p.m.

Party Entertainment

The big draw of seasonal holiday hard-ticket events is entertainment. Here’s a look at what’s on tap for Jollywood Nights in 2024. Fantasmic! will also be shown at 6:30 pm on event nights, so you’ll have a chance to catch both the regular nighttime spectacular before the party starts.

Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM!

Jollywood Nights features its own nighttime spectacular entertainment in Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM! Hi-tech projections display your favorite Disney holiday movie moments on the facade of the Chinese Theater. With lasers, lights, a festive soundtrack and, of course, fireworks, it’s a headliner event.

Holiday Shows

Event-exclusive shows take over the stages of Hollywood Studios during Jollywood Nights. See “Disney Holidays in Hollywood”, a musical revue hosted by Kermit the Frog and Miss Piggy. Look for appearances from Tiana, Belle, Mickey, Minnie, and more, alongside singers, dancers, and jazz musicians.

 

Over at the Hyperion Theater, the Frozen Sing-Along makes way for a different kind of sing-along event. In “What’s This? Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas Sing-Along”, you’ll join the Pumpkin King and Jack Skellington to follow a journey that features magic in unlikely places, Oogie Boogie, and performances you won’t forget.

Holiday Entertainment

As you wander around the park, there are plenty of opportunities to feel the party’s cheer.

⭐ Holiday Fiesta en la Calle is a holiday street fair that runs throughout the party in Animation Courtyard. Holiday lighting sets the mood, and music features Latin American holiday tunes for a south-of-the-border feel to the celebration. José Carioca and Panchito from The Three Caballeros put in guest appearances throughout the night.

⭐ On Hollywood Boulevard, a brand-new skating spectacular brings a twist on the traditional ice show. Get ready to be dazzled by international champion skaters as they bring holiday tunes to life.

⭐ Dance parties can be found in Echo Lake and Pixar Plaza. Over at Echo Lake, you’ll find Phineas, Ferb, and Max Goof as Powerline, plus Baloo and King Louie. At Pixar Plaza, Edna Mode will be your hostess with the mostest.

⭐ Stop by the Twilight Soirée at the Tip Top Club. Tucked away in the courtyard of the Hollywood Tower, live entertainment brings the swing era to the modern day as you indulge in a cocktail and let the tensions of the day slip away.

Jazzy Holidays at The Hollywood Brown Derby

Stop by The Hollywood Brown Derby for craft cocktails and event-exclusive appetizers, enjoyed in the company of smooth holiday tunes from a live pianist. Jazzy Holidays is a limited-capacity upcharge offering, and this year you’ll be able to reserve in advance. More details about reservations will be coming in September.

Jollywood Nights features over 20 character Meet & Greets, including many rare characters. Already announced for 2024 are:

• Baloo and King Louie from Talespin – appearing at Echo Lake
• José Carioca or Panchito from The Three Caballeros – appearing at Animation Courtyard
• Bo Peep or Lotso from the Toy Story movies – appearing at the entrance to Toy Story Land
• Phineas and Ferb – appearing at Echo Lake
• Max Goof as Powerline – appearing at Echo Lake
• Rescue Rangers Chip ‘n’ Dale – appearing at Echo Lake
• Santa Stitch – appearing at Celebrity Spotlight at Echo Lake
• Santa Duffy – appearing at Santa’s Workshop at Grand Avenue
• Edna Mode and Frozone from The Incredibles – appearing at Pixar Plaza
• Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck and Daisy Duck – appearing on Hollywood Boulevard near Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway

Party Food and Merch

Jollywood Nights has a range of party-specific food for purchase, including alcoholic beverages. Party merchandise is also available, and is likely to feature the party’s character icon: Ollie the Gingerbread Man.

PhotoPass and Magic Shots

Jollywood Nights includes PhotoPass service with the price of your ticket. In addition to the Meet & Greets, there are several glitz and glitter photo stops set up around the park, and some party-specific Magic Shots.

Shorter Lines

Disney advertises shorter lines as a selling point of Jollywood Nights. Here at TouringPlans, our take is that this benefit should come with an asterisk: party-goers may have to make hard choices between attractions and party activities.

Should You Go?

If you’re on the fence, let’s discuss. The sticky point is, usually, price. The median ticket price for 2024’s Jollywood Nights is likely to be $169; that’s not too dissimilar from the cost of a one-day ticket. It bears noting that although hard-ticket events at the Magic Kingdom include up to three hours in the parks during regular hours, Jollywood Nights access begins much closer to the party start time.

As previously mentioned, you may have to choose between party activities and attractions. Last year we found there was time for both, but more entertainment and additional characters have been announced for this year, so that may change. However, if you only want to hit the headliners and don’t care about daytime entertainment that’s not available during the party (such as the Frozen Sing-Along and Indiana Jones Stunt Spectacular), you could probably substitute the party for your day at Hollywood Studios.

If you’re making more than a short trip though, be aware that the price of extra days drops off sharply after the fourth day. If you’re subbing Jollywood Nights for the third day on a 3-day ticket, the prices will be close. But if you’re visiting for 5 days, then the price of the 5th day will only be about $60, so taking on Jollywood Nights instead will cost about an extra $100. That doesn’t look quite so favorable.

Taking that all in hand, a party ticket is most likely to be right for you if:

• You’re very interested in the party-specific activities, enough to justify the cost of the ticket to you.
• Or, you’re visiting for only a few days (4 or fewer) and are happy to trade away access to some of the daytime activities of Hollywood Studios for access to the party instead
