Jollywood or Mickey’s Very Merry? We Have Tips!

Jollywood Nights and Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party tickets are on sale today for everyone!  None of the dates for either party are sold out yet! We’ve been to Jollywood Nights multiple times each year since it began and we won’t say how many times we’ve been to Mickey’s Very Merry because we refuse to acknowledge that level of cookie greed, but it’s a lot. Here are some basic things to think about if you are only planning to do one party but can’t decided which to attend.

Hours 

Jollywood Nights runs 7:30pm to 12:30am but your ticket will allow you entry to Hollywood Studios at 5:30pm

Mickey’s Very Merry runs 7:00pm to midnight but your ticket will allow you entry to the Magic Kingdom at 4:00pm

Characters

Both parties have excellent character experiences but Jollywood Nights has some really special pals like Party Rex, Bing Bong, and Santa Duffy. Very Merry has pals like Mickey, Minnie, Pooh & Pals, Princesses, and Stitch in their holiday best.

Treats

Jollywood Nights is all about the party exclusive food and beverages for purchase. There are some really wonderful dishes and so many opportunities to have a special cocktail. This is your weekly reminder that we don’t get a food stipend or any type of preview from Disney, so we’re allowed to be honest about what we try. Check out our review from last year right here. 

Mickey’s Very Merry also has party exclusive food for purchase AND they have lots of cookie stops! The cookie stops are included with your party ticket and you’re welcome to go to any of them as many times as you want. There was even a soft pretzel spot last year ~ with mustard! Each location has an individually wrapped cookie and a holiday beverage, like hot chocolate, apple cider, milk, and eggnog. Each location has allergy-friendly options, too.

Dance Parties 

Jollywood has so many schmancy, swanky places to boogie to some great jazz and Latin tunes.

Mickey’s Very Merry is introducing a new dance party with Stitch this year!

Attire

As long as you’re within Disney’s rules, there is no other dress code for either party. That doesn’t mean you won’t see an enormous difference, though! We see tuxedos and heels and tons of sparkly dresses at Jollywood and families in matching pajamas at Mickey’s Very Merry. We love it all, it’s just totally different vibes.

Entertainment

Jollywood has Disney Holidays in Hollywood with Miss Piggy and Kermit, What’s This? Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas Sing-Along, Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM!, and lots of wonderful musicians all over the park.

The Once Upon a Christmastime Parade runs twice each Very Merry Christmas Party. You’ll also see  Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks and Mickey’s Most Merriest Celebration stage show.

In summary, both parties are fantastic and we will be at the first night of each to show you all of the fun. Whichever one you pick, just make sure you’re saving a few bucks by using our Ticket Calculator!
