VIDEO: Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run – Attractions I’ve Never Done Before

I was hesitant to upload this video for the following reasons:

  1. I was screaming the entire time.
  2. I didn’t know the controls were inverted, so I ended up looking like a big dummy.
  3. I was riding with my coworkers and when I think about how sick I probably made them, I cringe.
  4. All of the above.

Buuuuut as someone pointed out on Twitter, this was considered another video in my series of, “Attractions I’ve Never Done Before.” There was no getting out of this.

So with that in mind, enjoy my experience riding Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run for the first time. I was right pilot.

I’m sorry for the second hand embarrassment.

If you’ve experienced this attraction, what role did you get?

  • We were supposed to read the card!? We were so hyped to be on the ride I didn’t realise.
I love this video – thank you for filming it. Your left-seat pilot did a much better job than I did. Huge fun. Personally, I think they should have set the ride in space with Tie fighters, etc, but still a great fun experience – and having all the riders work together was a great idea, too. You do leave the ride with a warm glow.

    • Graham,

That was me too! I just grabbed my card and kept looking around! My co-pilot was soooo calm and collected. He did an excellent job…basically the opposite of me lol.

Omg…piloting the Tie fighters would be AMAZING!

  • Lol this will be me too when I ride MF. 🙂 Gamers probably have an advantage but hey us non-gamers can laugh about it 🙂

    • Bre,

Exactly. We have to laugh about it because otherwise we’ll just get embarrassed!

  • I’m guessing you don’t play many flight video games, do you, Angela?

I’m envious that you got right pilot the first time! I just fear that, no matter how many times I ride, I’ll always get stuck in the back seat with an engineer’s card.

    • TwoBits,

Not. At. All. I grew up playing Super Mario Bros., which clearly did not help me in the slightest!

  • I thought the card they give you has instructions on how the controls work. When people say “pull up” it means pull the stick back to go up!

    • E,

It does. I just didn’t read the card…something I regretted as soon as I walked off the ship. – Angela
