The 5 Best Drinks at Festival of the Arts!

EPCOT’s Festival of the Arts runs through February 23rd, so there’s still time to play Disney Lorcana and meander around the park with a cocktail or two. If your wallet and constitution are inclined, we’d like to recommend our list of the 5 best drinks of the festival.

Deconstructed Strawberry Mint Julep from The Deconstructed Dish

The Deconstructed Dish, Near Test Track

Deconstructed Strawberry Mint Julep, $12.25

Frozen Mint and Simple Syrup blended with Strawberry Purée and Old Forester 86 Bourbon

Maybe we’re simple folks, but give us some good bourbon and a pipette of jammy, sweet sauce and we’re happy. This is a gentle, sipping drink, perfect for a slow stroll through some of the best Disney art you’ll ever see. A few of these and you’ll hear us throwing out Big Daddy Hollingsworth quotes in a terrible drawl.

Frozen French Martini from L’Art de la Cuisine Française

L’Art de la Cuisine Française, France Pavilion

Frozen French Martini, $15.50

Grey Goose Vodka, Vodka, Chambord Liqueur, Dole Pineapple Juice, Minute Maid Orange Juice, Grape Juice with Lemon-Lime Foam

Sure, this is a pre-mixed drink, but it’s so pretty and so sweet that it made our list. The vodka isn’t very strong, as is the case with most frozen drinks with alcohol. We love the lemon-lime foam on this drink- it makes the sweet less cloying.

Frozen Scotch Cocktail from Gourmet Landscapes

Gourmet Landscapes, Canada Pavilion

Frozen Scotch Cocktail, $15.50

Scotch and Twinings Chai Tea garnished with a Chocolate Nail

We loved this last year and we’re still fans – especially since the price stayed the same. This drink is a grown folks drink in our book. Strong flavors and a chocolate nail to round out a wonderful menu of savory selections. The whole kitchen is a win for us.

Frozen Rosé from Pastoral Palate

Pastoral Palate, Germany Pavilion

Frozen Rosé, $7.25

Ok. We’re basic, but this is our jam. Two of these and some Red Wine-braised Beef Short Rib, a few bites of Black Forest Cake, and you’ll be set for hours. Even on a rare chilly day, this is wonderful.

ArtGarita from La Cava del Tequila

La Cava del Tequila, Mexico Pavilion

ArtGarita, $21

LALO blanco high-proof tequila, honeydew liqueur and coconut extract, cold foam, and cherry-watermelon salt

Secret Code to Order: “Dom sent me”

La Cava is our most favorite bar on Walt Disney World property. This is a love affair that has spanned more than a decade and we will continue to espouse praise of this location and the people who make it so special. That said, we are partial. We already know that we’re going to love anything that this passionate, tequila-devoted team dreams up. This ArtGarita is no different so we’re going to heartily suggest you stop in for this drink. Just make sure you don’t have important plans for a while after your visit. She has a kick.
