The Light Lounge at the Odyssey Offers Snacks & Seats

The Light Lounge at the Odyssey is now open in EPCOT.

The Odyssey is located on the path between Test Track and the Mexico Pavilion. The Light Lounge offers some new snacks, entertainment, lots of tables and chairs, and really lovely air conditioning.

The Glow Show, shown above, has performances once an hour from 11:30am to 5:30pm daily. Small guests are encouraged to sit behind a glow rope on the floor to have a close view of the tricks and silliness.

There are three snack options on offer:

Chicken Strips with French Fries, $10.99

Apple-Caramel Mini Churros with Vanilla Dipping Sauce, $6.99 (1 DDP Snack Credit) 

Caramel Popcorn Mini Churros with Caramel Sauce, $6.49 (1 DDP Snack Credit) 

The chicken strips are the same kind you’ll get in all four parks, and the fries are standard, too. The two churro options are cute, but there are approximately 75 sweet treats around EPCOT that are better for about the same money.

There is a small draft beer menu at the Light Lounge, too. If you’re up for a sip as you sit for a bit, we’d recommend the Five Limes from BrewDog.

The show is cute and the drinks and snacks are the usual, but the real selling points here are the space, the cool temperature, and the close proximity to restrooms. The humidity is powerful in Disney World right now, and it will stay that way for a few months. Do not miss an opportunity to cool down, even if the only thing you grab is some free ice water.
