Set to open in summer of 2027, the construction progress at Disney’s newest DVC resort, Lakeshore Lodge, is impressive. We took a boat from the Magic Kingdom to Fort Wilderness this morning to check things out.

Disney recently released concept art for The Wetlands, the vast recreation area at Lakeshore Lodge that will include climbing features, themed splash and slide spots for little ones, and a Daydream River ~ the first Disney Resort lazy river!

Based on what we were able to photograph today, it looks like construction is closely resembling the artist renderings Len had completed last year. You can see those here.

While it hasn’t been announced, we fully expect Lakeshore to institute resort wristbands similar to the ones used at Disney’s BoardWalk for on-site recreation and water features.

We’re planning to book a stay as soon as reservations open. What about you? Are you interested in visiting this resort when it’s complete next summer?
