A Magic Kingdom Birthday Celebration + Video

I was fortunate enough to celebrate my birthday at Walt Disney World this year. Since this is something that has been on my bucket list for YEARS I thought, “Why not bring you all with me?”

So that’s what I did. I put on my special birthday button and vlogged my adventures.

Now, let’s go have some fun!

  • As always, I loved your vlog! The 911 call thing was hysterical and thank you for the heads up – I had no idea! I couldn’t get over how empty the park seemed – so glad you had such a good birthday. Thanks for sharing it with us!

    • Laura,

Thank you for watching! The park was super empty that morning. As much as I dislike waking up early, I can’t deny that an empty park is a great perk!

      Have a nice day!

I had idea it was even happening until siren noises started blaring from my phone! I felt SO silly!

  • I loved this video. We went to Disney for my son’s 18th birthday, but mine is 2 days after his so it was double fun. This video made me want to go back, but we will be waiting until 2019 and Star Wars land. However, that will be our 30th wedding anniversary, so looking forward to that. I did want to know if you ever got to meet Merida? I want to met her but never seem to see her. Thanks! Really enjoyed this one!

    • Tammra,

A double birthday?! How fun! What a special time for you and your son.

You’ll have to plan something special for your 30th anniversary (Congrats by the way). Do you have any ideas?

I didn’t get the chance to meet Merida. We kept missing each other! We have a family trip planned in September and my daughter loves her, so we’ll for sure have to catch her then. I’ll vlog if we do!

  • We’re taking our daughter for her 4th birthday at the end of April. Any tidbits of advice you picked up during this that you could pass along?

    • Anthony,

Definitely pick up a birthday button at City Hall! If you’re staying at a Disney resort, they’ll also give you one.

Depending on your budget, you might want to plan a little something extra for her. That could be a character meal, a visit to the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique or a special gift waiting in your room from Disney Floral and Gifts. What I liked about the BBB is that they do a little photo shoot at the end that will be in your PhotoPass pictures for you to look at later.

Otherwise, you could try catering the day to what she wants to do. Let her pick the FastPass+ reservations, the meal, her own souvenir, etc.

At the end of the day, what you decide to do doesn’t really matter. It’s about being together on her special day. 🙂

      Have a great time!
