Amenities and Experiences at Margaritaville Resort Orlando

When going on vacation to the Walt Disney World area, sometimes you just need a place to rest your head. Other times, you want to make sure you have a relaxing resort experience to take a break from the hustle and bustle of the parks. As you saw in our previous article, Margaritaville Resort Orlando has great options for a place to rest your head and more, but today we’re looking at the amenities of the resort itself.

When you arrive at the resort (and while you sip on your complimentary rum punch), you’ll find a welcoming main building to explore with several features including places to just sit and relax, shopping, dining, and more.

For group events, the main building has a variety of meeting rooms, ballrooms, conference rooms, and more for any type of gathering.

Shopping options include the Margaritaville Store for souvenirs and Provisions, which offers made-to-order food  as well as grab and go food and beverages.

On the second floor of the main building you can have dining with a view. Euphoria Fish House offers small plate dishes around the $15 price point. Euphoria also offers breakfast with items like Overnight Oats ($7), Pancakes ($12), and Build-Your-Own Omelets ($15). They also have bottomless Mimosas and Bloody Mary’s for $25 per person. The views are spectacular, too.

There’s also On Vacation, a lounge with comedy acts on Fridays and Saturdays.

Throughout the resort are other activities and facilities to provide enjoyment for all ages. Make sure to check your activity guide to see the full list of experiences offered during your stay. Some options included crafts, trivia, karaoke, bingo, games, movies under the stars, and more. Most were free, but some had minimal cost (for instance crafts had a nominal cost for supplies). One activity that sounded like a lot of fun was the “Lost Shaker of Salt” daily event. When you find that lost shaker of salt somewhere around property, just bring it back to the Sundries Sea Shack store.

Here’s some of what you can find around the resort.

There’s also a well-appointed fitness center with a variety of state-of-the-art equipment.

And of course no resort would be complete without spa services. The St. Somewhere Spa offers massages, manicures and pedicures, facials, and other body treatments. Prices range from $40 for a 35-minute salt water manicure up to $165 for an 80-minute signature massage for their signature services. In addition, the spa offers hair services, waxing, CBD treatments, and more. For the ultimate experience, spa packages from half day up to 6-hour deluxe experiences are also offered. Also on site is a vitamin therapy service providing various IV treatments for health and wellness.

I firmly believe that you can tell the quality of a resort by its pool, and Margaritaville Resort Orlando has not one but two spectacular ones.

There are two pools at Margaritaville (Fins Right and Fins Left), one main pool and one quiet pool. At some resorts, the quiet pool is an afterthought not much more than a backyard swimming pool — but at Margaritaville Resort Orlando, the quiet pool is spacious with plenty of seating and umbrellas to help you have the full relaxation experience.

But the real star of the show is the main pool. I’m a huge fan of zero entry pools, and this one does not disappoint. There’s many different places to enter the pool, a beach area around the pool with plenty of loungers, and so much space. This pool seemed to go on for forever!

Looking to up the relaxation even more? Cabanas are available for rental. The cabanas include lounge chairs, beach chairs, bottled water and soda in your own fridge, and food and beverage service.

Located in the pool area, the Salty Rim Bar and Grill has an assortment of sandwiches, salads, and appetizers. Prices are quite reasonable, from about $10-15 for entrees.

Although the amenities on site may make it that you never want to leave, there are free daily transportation options available by reservation to Walt Disney World, Sea World, and Universal Orlando. Check the paperwork you receive at check in for details on times and how to make a reservation.

Just a short walk away, the Promenade at Sunset Walk offers a variety of shopping and dining options. My family has eaten at restaurants in Promenade many times because the variety and quality are outstanding. From sushi to BBQ and from Latin eats to burgers, there’s something for everyone. We also love the Studio Movie Grill, a great place to catch a movie and grab a bite to eat.

With its convenient location only a few minutes away from Walt Disney World, Margaritaville Resort Orlando offers a fantastic location to stay when you’re visiting the parks, but the high-quality amenities make it the perfect place for a staycation or day away from the parks, too.
