Animal Kingdom Changes from Last Week: Photo Tour
Tropical Americas in Disney’s Animal Kingdom is taking shape. We were able to identify the entrance arch to Pablo Esperanza clearly this week. We documented a few other, more minor, changes, too.

Some of the Discovery Island path is behind construction walls for regular maintenance. Zootopia: Better Zoogether! is still operating as usual. Wait! Better than usual because of an added scene!

There is a new scene starring Mayor Brian Winddancer, voiced by Patrick Warburton. The new clip is a very silly addition that only makes the experience better.

New red and blue umbrellas have been added to the Discovery River Theater seating. Does this mean we can expect a new show? Or maybe the seats needed shade because the heat, humidity, and direct sunlight are powerful? We shall see.

The archway leading into Pablo Esperanza in Tropical Americas is clearly taking shape. The image on the left of the shot above is from Disney’s concept art, and the construction picture on the right is from just a few days ago. Tropical Americas is set to open in sometime in 2027. We’ll continue to check out the changes during our visits.
Which new major Disney World construction project will motivate you to book a trip? Tropical Americas in Animal Kingdom, Monstropolis in Hollywood Studios, or Piston Peak and Villains Land in the Magic Kingdom?
