Great video. I’m going to save this video to show my folks before we take them to Disney next year. Better than trying to explain it myself 🙂
I’ve seen some custom skins (stickers) on Etsy recently that you can use to theme your magicbands and I think I may do that for our next trip. I also saw a shop on Etsy that makes a holder for the center chip part of the band. It hangs around your neck so you don’t have to wear the band if it bugs you. The holders are themed to different characters. Pretty cute.
Hello – I was hoping that this subject would come up in this blog so I am very happy you have posted it – I have a couple of questions about the MagicBands.
1 I have seen pictures on the internet of MagicBand keepers. There seem to be about three official Disney ones but I was looking for a prettier one that would look nice on my handbag (or purse). Are there any daintier fancier keepers? If not I think Disney might be missing an opportunity!
2 I live in the UK and every time I use a credit/debit card I get charged a fee for paying in dollars (I know that I can quite often opt to pay in British pounds but the exchange rate on these transactions is pretty poor). If I use my MagicBand to make payments for goods and meals etc will I pay for everything as I buy them or will I pay one lump sum as I check out of the Disney hotel?
Jennifer commented below that Etsy has some holders for you to check out. I know that’s what I’m going to do before my next trip!
The charges go through at about 3am the morning you check out. They’ll be charged to your payment on file. If you would prefer to pay with gift cards or something else, settle that at the front desk the night before check out.

Jennifer,
Thank you for sharing. I’m definitely going to check Etsy out for MagicBand skins!
