Best Bets for a Quick Breakfast at Islands of Adventure
Start your day on the right foot with breakfast in Islands of Adventure. This article will cover all the breakfast options available in IOA and CityWalk, as well as our touring suggestions and the best bets for your pastry and caffeine needs.
Before Entering the Park
If you are entering the parks from the bus loop or parking garage, then you will pass through Universal Orlando’s CityWalk shopping and dining district before entering the parks. Two locations in CityWalk offer breakfast options in the morning.
- Starbucks – Located on the left, across from the Cinemark Theater. The ubiquitous coffee chain serves a wide array of coffee-based drinks, pastries, and breakfast sandwiches. Order Ahead is not available at this location.
- Voodoo Donuts – Located next to NBC Grill Brew, the iconic donut makers set up shop in Orlando and sling a wide variety of donut types. Coffee and Coke products are also available.
Unless you arrive at CityWalk early enough, about 90 minutes before the park opens, these locations will typically have a long line of guests waiting to purchase their caffeine fix.

Crossiant Moon Bakery
Located inside Port of Entry, on the right-hand side of the entrance plaza across from the Ocean Trader Market, is Croissant Moon Bakery. This quick-service restaurant offers a variety of items, including pastries, breakfast sandwiches, empanadas, and coffee. Croissant Moon opens with the theme park in the morning and closes in the late afternoon.
Croissant Moon frequently ranks among the best quick-service dining locations in Islands of Adventure, with rave reviews for their food and service. Its out-of-the-way location and lack of brand appeal make it less crowded compared to the other breakfast spots inside the park.

Starbucks
What’s better than one Starbucks? Two Starbucks. You know it; you might love it or hate it, and it’s massively popular at park openings. This location is slightly smaller than the CityWalk location, offering no indoor seating and a walk-up line only. The same assortment of coffee, pastries, sandwiches, and breakfast items is available here as at the CityWalk location. Order Ahead is not available at this location, either. Starbucks opens with the theme park in the morning.

Cinnabon
If you want a sugar bomb in the morning, then visit the Island of Adventure’s Cinnabon location, where you should head. Cinnabon serves its iconic cinnamon rolls and cinnamon roll bites along with breakfast sausage bites and cold coffee. If you just need a morning cold brew, then Cinnabon could offer the fastest service. Cinnabon is located next to Starbucks in Port of Entry, before entering Marvel Super Hero Island, and opens with the theme park in the morning.

Three Broomsticks
For a full sit-down breakfast in a themed restaurant, head to The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Hogsmeade and dine at the Three Broomsticks. Here, guests dine in a rustic pub atmosphere, as featured in several movies. The menu features breakfast platters, including the English Breakfast, American Breakfast, Pancake Platter, and Oatmeal and Croissant Platter. Each platter costs $19.99 for adults and $13.99 for children. We have not been impressed with the Three Broomsticks breakfast, and at $20 per person, we think you can get a better value elsewhere. If you really want to dine at the Three Broomsticks, come back for an early lunch. The Harry Potter restaurant opens with the park and serves breakfast till 10:30 am

Seasonal – The Grinch and Friends Character Breakfast
Available on select mornings in November and December, Universal Orlando trims up the tree with Christmas stuff like bingle balls and Whofoo fluff with a festive character breakfast with the Grinch. Start off with a selection of pastries and fruit as you arrive at your table, and then choose from a variety of entrees like Green Eggs & Ham, Chicken & Waffles, pancakes, Belgian waffles, and a breakfast sandwich option. Included with your meal is one digital download photo with the Grinch (and more with your own camera). Reservations are required and become available in late summer or early fall. Prices in 2024 were $59 per adult and $33 per child plus tax.
