Bigfire’s New Sunday Brunch

Bigfire has a new Sunday Brunch option, and we sent our dining team to check it out! Find out what’s on the menu, see if they are using real eggs in the omelettes, and determine how many army members are fed with the s’mores pancakes.

Brunch signage.

Bigfire is a high-end, full-service restaurant in Universal Orlando’s CityWalk that serves steak, burgers, chicken, and seafood. The large wood-fired grill imparts unique flavors of the Cherrywood and Pecanwood used in the food grilled. We love Bigfire and the delicious steaks, wonderful bourbon cocktails, and the amazing mussels appetizer, so we’re excited to see what they create for brunch. Brunch is currently served only on Sundays from 11:30 am to 2:30 pm.

The inside of Bigfire is open and bright, with light wood tables and white walls. Accents of tartan (that’s not flannel, Universal!) add color and pattern to the space. Tables and booths are large and spacious, so you won’t need to balance plates between your cocktails. The overall atmosphere is upscale but not stuffy.

Brunch menu.

The brunch menu is smaller than the normal dinner menu with no appetizers or dessert options (don’t worry, the full bar, along with brunch cocktails, are available). Pick from options like the s’mores pancakes, chicken and waffles, French toast, avocado toast for us millennials, eggs Benedict, omelette, steak and eggs, and more. If you’re a fan of crepes or sandwiches for brunch, go check out the Toothsome.

Our dining guru visited recently and found the brunch to be exceptional. Our team ordered the s’mores pancakes, Bigfire Omelette, and Woodfire Steak & Eggs. The eggs were a standout:

“I asked if they were fresh eggs or the scrambled egg mixture like from the hotels. [The server] said the scrambled eggs were real eggs…. [Steak and Eggs] were the creamiest fluffiest scrambled eggs you have ever eaten. Omeltte was to die for soft eggs with tender ribeye pieces inside and creamy cheese.”

Not a fan of eggs? Don’t worry, the s’mores pancakes are a delectable treat that can serve a small platoon:

“The pancakes were enormous. They could have fed an army and were smothered in butter and chocolate and marshmallows. Table beside us cut into 8 piecesand shared with big group.”

We think Universal has a hit on their hands, and we think they know it. We hope this menu is kept through the end of the year and expands hours and days. Reservations are available online or by calling (407) 224-2074, walk-ups are welcome.
