Disney Resort Activities

If you’re planning a resort day on your next Disney World vacation, this post is for you! Many of us use our “day off” from the parks to sleep and spend time at the pool. While this is a solid plan, there are lots of other things going on every single day at every Disney Resort. This is how to find out what’s happening…

The resort activity posters in the image above used to be posted onsite only and weren’t available online. This meant that you were planning your dining, park reservations, and enchanting extras 60 days in advance but you’d have to wing it for your resort day. Fortunately, Disney has added the recreation activity schedules on their website!

There are a few activities that are going to be the same across resort tiers. For example, every single Disney Resort has “Movie Under the Stars” scheduled each week. The movies are always Disney themed and appropriate for all ages. All Disney Resorts offer a Campfire activity and they are nearly all the same, with one huge exception. Most resorts host a 60-minute campfire each night. Unlimited marshmallows are provided as are the sticks to roast them under Cast Member supervision. They also offer S’mores kits for purchase. One Campfire activity stands out above the rest, and you don’t need to be a guest to participate.

The Chip ‘n’ Dale Campfire Sing-A-Long at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Campground is a whole experience! They have a nightly singalong full of tunes you’ll know and an lots of family friendly jokes, too, alongside the adorable antics of Chip and Dale. After the singalong comes the nightly Movie Under the Stars. Fort Wilderness provides complimentary marshmallows and supervised roasting, but they also have a food truck, the Chuckwagon Snack Bar, a few steps from the fun. You can purchase a S’mores kit and other snacks here. If you are staying at a different resort but want in on the fun, you can take the boat from the Magic Kingdom or a Fort Wilderness bus from EPCOT, Hollywood Studios, Animal Kingdom, or Disney Springs.

Fort Wilderness is the one resort that has so many activities that they don’t publish a single post like the others in this article. Instead, you can check Disney’s website for details before you travel, or read about our favorite 11 things to do at Fort Wilderness here.

Where to Find Resort Activities

You can find current recreational activities for your resort on Disney’s website. Simply search for your resort and select the “Recreation” tab pictured on the right of the image above. This will take you to the full schedule for your location.

For a Fee

You’ll note the ($) symbol next to many activities at Disney Resorts. These are activities or crafts that come with a fee. For example, the Mickey Tie-Dye ($) activity listed in Pop Century’s activity schedule above. We’ve done this craft several times and are always impressed with how easy the recreation Cast Members make things for guests. During our last visit in August 2025, the Tie Dye was $18.11 for a T-Shirt, and $10.65 for a Pillowcase. The Cast members have already rolled the shirts to ensure you’ll get the perfect Mickey head in the middle. There was also a huge variety of sizes available. We noted very small children’s sizes and up to 3x in adult sizes.

While nobody wants to spend more than they budgeted for on vacation, we’re always pleased with how well themed and fun the paid activities seem to be. Note the Paint Your Own Bowling Pin at Pop Century (above), or The Magic of Mosaics at the Contemporary, below. These are experiences that are unique to these resorts and may prove worth the extra expense.

  • That’s good advice as these activités are not well known or discussed. However I could not find the timesheet for the Boardwalk Inn (I could for others).
Any idea how to get the information ?

Hi Anne – You’re absolutely right. BoardWalk doesn’t have a list and they only show Surrey Bikes on the website. We just covered the midway games a few months ago and I can personally endorse them as bit of fun. You can read about them here: https://touringplans.com/blog/midway-games-on-disneys-boardwalk/

As for the rest, we’ll plan a visit over soon to check out the physical activities board and ask why it’s not published. Good catch! -Chrissy
