Tip: Stroller Swap on the Walt Disney World Railroad
The Walt Disney World Railroad in the Magic Kingdom only allows folded strollers, but Disney World rental strollers don’t fold. Drop off at stroller parking works great for attractions where you get on and off in the same place. But on the railroad, you might get off halfway around the park! Good news: Disney has made managing your rental stroller pretty easy from any station. Here is how it’s done: Disney Stroller Rental Swap.
1. Remove All Personal Items
You’ll need to remove all personal items from your stroller since you’ll be swapping out for a new one at your chosen stop. If you’ve stacked your stroller like we did in the picture above, you can always ask for a free bag at any merch location to help contain your gear.
2. Don’t Forget the Name Card & Rental Receipt
Make sure you grab the name card in the plastic sleeve on the back of your stroller. You’ll pop this into the new stroller when you depart the train. Also, always keep track of your stroller rental receipt! This is especially important when you’ve paid for a multi-day rental, you’re Park hopping, or swapping out strollers on the train route.
3. Choo Choo!
Board the train! There are 3 stations on the Magic Kingdom Railroad, and you can ride the entire loop as many times as you like without exiting. This is especially handy when little ones (or I-AM-JUST-RESTING-MY-EYES-LEAVE-ME-ALONE-FOR-FIVE-SECONDS-UGH parents) happen to nod off to the cool breeze and happy whistles. The entire clockwise loop, called the Grand Circle Tour, is about 1.5 miles and takes 20 minutes in total. Please note that the Railroad does not run during parades.

4. Secure a New Stroller
When you’ve reached your desired station, gather your things and let a Cast Member know you’re picking up a swap. Don’t fret about finding a CM on the train platform because there are always several, and they’re always alert. Have your name card and rental receipt at the ready to make the process faster.

The Frontierland swap strollers are on the platform as pictured above – just steps from the train. The Fantasyland swap strollers are located just beyond the station exit on the left, as pictured below. They’re neatly lined up along the brick wall next to the Fantasyland restrooms.

If you’re exiting at the Main Street Station, you’ll head downstairs to the Stroller Rental Desk. No need to go back through the line- just show your receipt and name card to the Cast Member at the strollers, and they’ll help you get your new wheels.
