Disney’s Riviera Resort Now Accepting Reservations
Guests can book rooms at Disney’s Riviera Resort (a Disney Vacation Club property located by Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort) today online on the Walt Disney World web site or with a travel agent. Availability begins December 16, 2019. Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge should be open around this time as well.
Disney Vacation Club members will be able to book rooms at the Riviera using points soon according to an email members received from DVC earlier this month.
The Riviera has studios, 1-, 2-, and 3-bedroom units in a tower configuration and will also be served by the Disney World Skyliner gondola. Pricing for the week of December 16, 2019, begins at around $545/night for a standard view studio.
It’s still a timeshare property. Are those still a good deal with the consumer, or does disney think they can still keep building DVC properties and people will buy it all up. Yes, they do have a unique product, and savagely loyal fanbase. But eventually even won’t work. The websites with ‘resell’ of points for DVC is full of people trying to keep their head above water and regrets of buying into the timeshare.
I reviewed the listings on the DVC portal out of curiosity; no point costs posted yet, but there appears to be a new room class. They are listing a studio type with a capacity of 2 adults. I’ve never seen that before. It will be interesting to see how this plays out.
My wife and I just booked this Studio for Feb of 2020. We are curious about the fold out Bed and room size. We are excited to give it a try!
That’s the first date we were able to find this morning when things opened up. But we will keep looking.
Are you sure it’s not till Dec 16th? I’m seeing other dates for reservation on random searches.
