The day we recorded this episode may have topped Christmas Day for Brian.

Why? We were lucky enough to have Star Wars expert, Alex Robinson, from the wonderfully obsessive Star Wars Minute podcast on the show to talk Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge.

  • Here is a suggestion for a TouringPlans podcast topic:
How does MaxPass at Disneyland/DCA affect the execution of a touring plan? Since it is so much easier to get FastPasses now and even multiple FastPasses once the window opens up to get another one, how does that affect the ordering of attractions in an optimized Touring Plan?

  • will disney be turned into Comicon? will every day be an 11 crowd level forever more?

i wish they had created a separate park for star wars.

is it just me that thinks Smugglers Run will be an epic fail? 6+ hr waits, with just a 33% chance of piloting? and how many rides will it take not to crash?

how are they going to prevent fist fights – or worse – as fanatics, and even your run of the mill selfish linecutter types, demand to take the wheel?

it should be a record summer for lifetime bans.

man do I regret that we are going in July. i would just avoid galaxys edge for oh, 5 years, and hope it ligthens lines elsewhere, but my 10 year old thinks hes going to fly the Falcon.

I can understand your frustration. I’m trying to keep an open mind and just enjoy the experience.

I know there will be a point where I’ll get to be the pilot, the gunner, the flight engineer. It may not be for a few years, but that’s the nature of the Star Wars beast.

I’m still very excited for it all!

      • Thanks Angela,

I get it, but we get to WDW or Disneyland every other year.
Personally , though not a big star wars fan, i’m very excited about the scope of Rise of the Resistance.
I just hate to see my son disappointed, I think the park was originally a family place? We have already tried 3 times to get him into Jedi training, the last time we arrived 70 minutes early, off peak, and I realized that everyone ahead of us had the same plan 🙂

I’m just glad they are adding other new things like the Mickey and Minnie Railway. unlike the rest of my family, I’m glad they are putting that space to better use!
