Food & Wine Quick Review: Coastal Eats
Redemption! Coastal Eats opened today at EPCOT’s Food & Wine and we tried both dishes!

Crab Cake, $7.49 + tax, = $7.94
With Tropical Fruit Chutney, Mustard Sauce, and Micro Celery
Having consumed a metric ton (give or take) of crab cakes in Maryland, we’re partial to just Old Bay and splash of tabasco, so the wet chutney was not a hit for us.

Seafood Pot Pie, $7.49 + tax, = $7.94
With Shrimp, Scallops, and Lobster Bisque topped with Puff Pastry
It’s been many moons since we’ve recommended a seafood pie at an EPCOT festival. In recent years, they’ve been too salty, had too little seafood, or have been on par with mid-level cafeteria fare. Not so this year!

LOOK! AT! THAT! Huge scallops and shrimp in a really savory and lovely lobster bisque! We love this and are thrilled that Disney kept it under $8.00! Full recommend. The seafood isn’t overcooked and the buttery crust is flaky and wonderful. So well done.
Are you going to try Coastal Eats at Food & Wine this year?
