Today (May 26, 2026), Universal Orlando announced that Express Pass will be removed from Hagrid’s Magical Creature Motorbike Adventure on July 1, 2026. When asked about the change it was explained it was being removed to “improve the flow of the experience for all of our Guests”.  We’ve heard this is due to guest satisfaction in both the stand-by and Express lanes being low and with Express removed it will improve the satisfaction of all guests in the stand-by line. It is unclear if the Single Rider Line will return once the Express line closes.

We will have updated articles in the next few weeks with updated touring strategies for Islands of Adventure and Hagrid’s Magical Creature Adventure. Stay tuned to TouringPlans Blog for all the latest updates.

  • When I rode Hagrid’s in early December, it had a single rider line. The split-off for that single rider line was not where it used to be years ago. I took the standby line until near the castle and saw the sign for single riders there. I remember when single riders got to use the same line as express pass until they split off.

  • I wonder if they changed about mind about July 1, since the Universal website’s FAQ says Hagrid is off the list right now.
