Disney announced a new ticket offer today!

The discount is for 2 or 3-day tickets to one park after 2:00pm. First we’ll go over the basics, then we’ll break down the highest and lowest ticket prices, and finally, we’ll do a short pro and con list.

Date Based Pricing

Ticket prices vary by date with the least expensive ticket listed as $118 +tax, and the most expensive ticket listed as $158 +tax.

Let’s price out the most expensive and least expensive tickets under this new offer to see if there is a good deal to be had. Spoiler- there is, and it’s not going to include Animal Kingdom.

I picked July 3rd and 4th for a few reasons. First, Magic Kingdom is open later than normal to accommodate July 4th fireworks and crowds. Second, these two dates are always busy (obvi) and folks with the Pixie Dust and Pirate Passes are blocked out.

I used our Crowd Calendar to check the hours and Crowd Level forecasts for the selected days as shown above.

$125.13 per person per day after tax

Hourly Price Per Person July 11 – 12, 2026

The Pros

There are a few benefits (beyond the price) to entering the parks at 2:00pm.

  1. Sleep in and skip the rope drop.
  2. Spend the morning at the pool and make time for a nap before heading to the park at 2:00pm.
  3. Cooler weather once the sun goes down.
  4. Evening entertainment! EPCOT has Luminous, Hollywood Studios offers Disney Movie Magic, Fantasmic!, and Wonderful World of Animation. You’ll be able to see the 3:00pm Festival of Fantasy Parade, the Starlight Parade, and Happily Ever After in the Magic Kingdom.

The Cons

  1. Rope Drop is a great way to get in several rides before the park officially opens. We have approximately a bajillion articles on the subject if you’re new to Early Entry.
  2. Most of the good Lightning Lanes are going to be gone before you tap in. You may catch a few drops later in the day, but the really good stacking opportunities won’t be possible.
  3. Summer + afternoon = rain. A huge chunk of the rides in the Magic Kingdom go offline when we have thunderstorms.
  4. Afternoon downtime. According to our data, the top 10 attractions for “Downtime after 2 pm”:
    1. Slinky Dog Dash (HS)
    2. Big Thunder (MK)
    3. Seven Dwarfs Mine Train (MK)
    4. Space Mountain (MK)
    5. Remy (EP)
    6. Rise of the Resistance (HS)
    7. Expedition Everest (AK)
    8. The Barnstormer (MK)
    9. Tiana’s Bayou Adventure (MK)
    10. Runaway Railway (HS)

Much of this offline time may be attributed to weather related closures, but some of them, like Rise, Space Mountain, and Remy are just regular old ride downtime.

What do you think about this new ticket offer?
