PHOTOS: Grand Villa at Saratoga Springs Resort
The largest hotel rooms on Walt Disney World property are the Grand Villas, three bedroom units that sleep up to 12 guests, plus a child under age three in a pack ‘n play crib. The guests are accommodated on one king-size bed in bedroom A, two queen-sized beds in bedroom B, and two queen-sized beds in bedroom C, plus a pull-down sofa bed in the living room. That’s 12 people on six sleep surfaces; obviously if you have members of your party that can’t share a bed or who don’t want to sleep on a sofa bed, then the real capacity of the room goes down for you. Most Grand Villas occupy two levels, with the common living areas and the master bedroom downstairs and two bedrooms upstairs.
In addition to the bedrooms and living room, the Grand Villas all have a full kitchen, at least three bathrooms, a washer/dryer, and a dining area.
There are Grand Villa units at the following Walt Disney World resorts: Riviera, Saratoga Springs, Old Key West, Bay Lake Tower, Grand Floridian, Animal Kingdom Lodge, Boardwalk, and Copper Creek.
For an idea about what to expect from a Grand Villa, here’s a photo tour of a three-bedroom unit at Saratoga Springs. This unit was in the Congress Park section of the resort, with some rooms having views of Disney Springs.
There is plenty of space for a large group to stay together and socialize, but not be in each other’s faces. If you’re planning a family reunion, this could be a great option.

Glad the upstairs bathrooms are the same design, it will make it easier to get the morning and evening process done timely (and yes they are planning to use the downstairs bathroom, near the kitchen also.
Yes, I have preferred reservations, so Congress Park will be my first choice.
Planning on table service for lunch and time at the Tiki Room (my favorite) right after. I’m singing that Tiki song now. Also, I like to ride the People Mover. Both are great for downtime.
I’ll check out the book for WDW. I just looked at the cover of the 2020 book and there is your name! Great book. We got it for the rest of the family to read and get ready. We just turned Platinium.

To answer your questions:
1. The upstairs bathrooms in the Saratoga Springs Grand Villas are mirror images of each other. Both have the sink just outside the toilet/shower room.
2. The room pictured here is #1241, in the Congress Park section of the resort. That is likely the first or second closest Grand Villa to the Disney Springs walkway. The Grand Villas are scattered throughout the Saratoga property. Congress Park is the closest subsection of the resort to Disney Springs. However, that is a “preferred” location. The preferred spots in Congress Park and The Springs cost more (points or cash) than other areas of the resort. If you’re looking for a compromise, the closer Paddock buildings are a decent compromise.
3. Location is a very subjective thing. Even my husband and I often disagree about where the “best” location within a resort is. That said, there are bus stops all over Saratoga, one in each section of the resort. If you’re in Congress Park, that bus stop will be nearby no matter where you stay.
4. There are whole books worth of advice on how to plan a trip with young kids. Have you tried The Unofficial Guide to Walt Disney World? Seriously, that is a huge topic. But if I had to tell you one thing, it’s make sure to take some down time during the day. Even if you don’t come back to the hotel for a nap/swim, try to plan a leisurely lunch or some indoor show-style attraction mid-day so everyone gets off their feet for a while.

Great photos of the Grand Villas. We will be staying in a 3 bedroom villa (DVC) in Sept 2020 with an extended family of 9 (2, 2, 5). We (2) will have the downstairs bedroom A. The family of 5 and grandma/grandpa will have the upstairs. One or two of the grandkids will trade-off between the parents’ second queen bed and GM/GP’s second queen.
Is there a sink outside bathroom B like the photo of outside bathroom C?
We will be eating at DS at least for 2 dinners plus shopping. What is the closest 3 bdrm unit to the walking bridge to DS (info for when I call in 5 days ahead to the scheduler)?
Is it better to be close to DS or the bus stop (one day in MK then 3 night DCL cruise)?
The kids will be 7, 5, and 4 when we arrive. Anything special I should consider for them (never traveled with kids before. It’s my nephew’s family. GP is my brother).
Our family have stayed in a Saratoga Grand Villa every summer for the last 9 years. They are perfect for our huge family gatherings, with family staying in studio rooms joining us for meals. The living, dining space and bedrooms are huge. Excellent communal space but privacy when needed. We have enjoyed every single moment and have many, many happy memories.
