Both the Walt Disney World Resort and the Disneyland Resort will soon be serving plant-based dining options, as well as a new plant-based menu icon coming to Disney dining establishments. Menu items will include hundreds of sweet and savory dishes. As park Guests have started embracing plant-based offerings overall, it has inspired the resort to expand menu offerings and introduce a this new new icon, a green leaf, that will make it easier than ever to find these options when sitting down for a meal or snack. These options are made from plant-based ingredients like vegetables, fruits, grains, nuts, seeds, and legumes – and are made without animal meat, dairy, eggs or honey.

These new plant based items will roll out at quick service locations on October 1 and October 3 at table service locations at the Walt Disney World Resort with more than 400 incredible dishes!

At the Disneyland Resort, the new menu icon and many new plant-based options will be introduced in spring 2020.

In addition, resorts across the globe will also get additional dishes, including Disneyland Paris, Hong Kong Disneyland, Shanghai Disney Resort and Disney Cruise Line.

  • That is AMAZING news. I’m not vegan, just vegetarian, but having more options is always a great idea and the variety increasing makes life a lot easier.

  • I’m surprised that CA doesn’t already have a lot of vegans around already demanding more plant-based options first. (and dangit — our trip is to DisneyLAND mid-October, so too soon for the magic leaf icon

    • Agreed. I would have thought California and their locals would have received these menu additions first.

I’m fascinated as to why this is getting so much coverage, though. I have seen this news on several major media outlets already.
